WHO ARE "THE TRAVELING MOJITO SISTERS"?
The "Traveling Mojito Sisters" started from a photograph, really.
It was in Barcelona, 2011. The two sisters, DeeDee and Brenda, met up in Barcelona and among other things, took a tour to the town of Sitges, where the one of the Bacardi family homes is located, as well as a distillery of the famous rum. They toured the facility, and discovered the world's best mojito. A photograph of the two sipping a rather smooth mojito became dubbed, "The Mojito Sisters."
Now, whenever they travel, the two announce it as a "Traveling Mojito Sisters" adventure. Since that trip, they have traveled to Argentina, Italy, Greece and most recently, a "Traveling Mojito Sisters Northwest Tour" where they flew up to Seattle, WA and Portland,OR, with their other Mojito Sister, Barbara.
"To be a Mojito Sister, you just have to be like-minded. You enjoy adventure, travel, living as good a life as you can, wherever you are," says Mojito Sister Brenda. "You enjoy all those thousand little miracles of life every day, to paraphrase a quote from Buddha." "And you have to drink good wine," remarked Mojito Sister DeeDee.
"Yes, that, too," said Brenda.
DeeDee is the travel agent, something she doesn't do for a living, because she doesn't have to. She is just very, very good at it. She suggests trips, sometimes to see friends, sometimes to go somewhere at least one of them has never been, and then she finds all the coolest things to do wherever it is, and they arrange a trip, usually around the art show schedule of Brenda, who is not a very good travel agent. At all. As in, "where's North?"
And, through this site, we'll take you with us. Some far away lands, some local travel excursions. Some out of our home state of Florida, and some in-state, cause, as we all know from Carl Hiaasen's books, Florida is a trip around the world in itself.

Life is too short to have bad mojitos. Seriously.
