MONTSERRAT
"Montserrat is way the hell up there, glad they had a cable car. Monastery, crazy gorgeous views, crazy gorgeous cyclists... and--- on to Sitges on the Med... where it all began-the love of immersing oneself into other lands, other cultures, other sights, sounds, smells, tastes, traditions --- we have finally found the perfect travel partners in each other. And THAT is saying something."
B: "Yep. It's way the hell up there! But who could give up the opportunity to visit THE monastery that houses The Black Madonna? It's like, it's like...a roadside attraction. Unfortunately. you can't take photos of her. I'll describe her: she's a little tiny statue, and instead of being the traditional creamy color that everyone associates the madonna with, she's ebony-colored. And quite beautiful. You can buy postcards..I might have one somewhere. I'll look later."

SITGES, SPAIN
D: "Don't even ask how we lost the bus..."
B: "Sitges was an unexpected treat. Not only with the visit to the Bacardi family home and the original distillery, but just the town itself. The mojitos from the Bacardi distillery were magnificent, and I don't particularly care for rum. Now, the mojitos in a little restaurant in the town were AWFUL. Fresh mint at the distillery...loads and loads of dry mint thrown into a glass at the restaurant. I mean, you couldn't even suck the liquid through a straw it was so bad. And did I mention that the beach at Sitges is a nude beach? Did I mention that? Some things you can't forget. But we plowed through it...happily so. Beautiful little town, gorgeous buildings and lovely company. I bought an old bottle in an antiques store and filled it up with sand from the beach at Sitges. I know, I know...Wait a minute...was THAT where we couldn't find the damn bus?"

That shovel certainly looks like it's in an uncomfortable spot. But it wasn't. Promise.
